Scott Charlton
A professional Comedian for over 20 years, Scott is one of the most exciting talents to emerge from the South coast in recent years; to quote The Stage, 'Scott Charlton is the new age Tony Hancock', an accolade indeed. Scott has worked through the ranks in the time honoured fashion having learnt his trade as a Butlins Red Coat. He has supported many television stars in theatres the length and breadth of the country including Jethro, Frank Carson, Wayne Dobson, The Commitments and Stevie Wonder to name but a few.
Away from comedy, Scott is an accomplished jazz session musician and made his TV debut at the tender age of 2, sat on Frank Bough's knee playing the harmonica on BBCs Nationwide show. His love of music led him to becoming a share holder at Mr. Kyps, live music venue, in Poole having been the director from its conception.
He stood down to concentrate on his comedy. Scott is a most versatile entertainer, equally at home in the Theatre, cruising or after dinner speaking, (for which he has become extremely sought after), entertaining corporate or sporting dinners a like! He has worked with sporting heroes including Henry Cooper, Frank Bruno, Jimmy Greaves, Stanley Matthews, Sachin Tendulka and Geoff Miller. He is also widely acknowledged as one of the finest charity auctioneers in the country raising many thousands of pounds for good causes.
He is proud to be a patron of the YCT, (Youth Cancer Trust). Scott is also a prolific scriptwriter and regularly writes for TV and radio, (TV and radio often write back)! For the last 5 years he has been 'The Voice' of Lashings, broadcasting live ball-by-ball commentary at all of their matches, often incorporating radio and TV links.
